Majlis-e-Shoora ( Parliament ) of Pakistan is the federal and supreme legislative body of Pakistan. Parliament .Parliament of Pakistan consisting of the President and two Houses to be known respectively as the National Assembly and the Senate.

According to constitution of Pakistan President is the head of state. Mr Syed Mamnoon Hussain is the elected President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan .He Assumed office on 9 September 2013 . He is 12th President of Pakistan .The position of president in Pakistan has traditionally been one of a figurehead. Mamnoon Hussain also served as Governor Sindh in 1999.


Senate of Pakistan

Senate is upper house of Pakistani Parliament .as first formed in 1973. The membership of the Senate, which was originally 45, was raised to 63 in 1977 and to 87 in 1985. The membership of the Senate was raised from 87 to 100 in 2002. 4 Seats of Minorities was included in 2012 .So now total seats of Senate are 104. The Senate is a body which represents the provinces and territories of the country and promotes a feeling of equality, peace and good understanding between them .

National Assembly

National Assembly ( Qoomi Assembly )  is Lower house of Pakistani Parliament .The National Assembly of Pakistan is the country's sovereign legislative body. The National Assembly makes laws for the Federation in respect of the powers enumerated in the Federal Legislative list and also for subjects in the Concurrent List.
The Speaker of the House presides over the Assembly, and acts as the president of the country if both the President and the Chairman of the Senate are not present.
There are a total of 342 seats in the National Assembly. Of these, 272 are filled by direct elections. In addition, the Pakistani Constitution reserves 10 seats for religious minorities and 60 seats for women,
