New prayer app will automatically select silent mode during Prayer

Do you always feel ashamed when your smartphone starts ringing in full loud volume during Prayer? Well, you are not alone. A lot of people in the world face this issue, and it is especially more disturbing when you have selected a song as your ringtone. To overcome this problem, a new prayer app is introduced.
The app automatically selects “Silent” profile in your smartphone during the Prayer. Never worry again about forgetting to select silent mode during Prayer, and you don’t even need to switch off your phone.

How this prayer app works

The new app, “Silence is Masjid” is developed by Ahmed, a Pakistani boy from Hyderabad. It is available in the Google Play Store. The size of the app is just 3.7MB and does not make your phone memory full. When you open the app for the first time, it automatically detects your location and asks you to select the Jurisdiction of “Hanafi” or “Standard”.
The brilliant app automatically calculates Prayer schedule in offline mode. There appears an icon in the upper left corner of the screen. When you tap this icon, the app provides you with all the available options list.

You can select “Stop Silencer” to deactivate the silent mode feature. When you tap on “Nearby Masjids” option, it shows you a list of all the nearby mosques by using GPS technology and the internet. Click on any mosque name and the app will show you the exact location of that mosque on Google Maps, so never worry again if you are in a new area and having difficulty finding a mosque.
You can also change prayer calculation method from the menu. The available calculation methods are Jafari, Karachi, North America, Muslim World League, Umm Al-Qura (Makkah), Egyptian, and Tehran.
On the home screen, it shows prayer timings. Tap any prayer and you can set the silence timing of that prayer between 0 to 60 minutes. If your phone is already set to silent mode during the prayer, the app does not change it then.
Meanwhile, the management of a mosque can print the QR code of this app, and paste it on the door of the mosque, so that the visitors of the mosque can download this useful app instantly.
